Most successful projectI consider this to my most successful project because I felt like I accomplished making the picture appear 3 demential. I was able to accomplished this by using darks and lights acrylic paint in the flowers and pineapple. I also liked how I went I made the background close the flowers darker creating a shadow. If i could redo a project over again...If i could make this project the second time i would change the way the hand on the left. I feel like the hand is too flimsy looking. I would have retreat the hand to be reaching out more. Compare and ContractFor both of these painting I used acrylic paint as the medium. I consider these to be my two favorite pieces I did in art class this year. Though these painting are very different. The first painting of the eye I used was gloomy darker colors compared to the light tropical colors i used for my pineapple. One of the artistic behavior I have seen was digital arts. I think it would be enjoyable to learn how to create logos, word art, banners, etc. Plus I think it would be a great skill to learn if you wanted to go into advertising as a career.

For art work I sketched out a cartoon story board. Then coloring in the sketch with color pencils. I used white color pencil over the colors to blend in the colors better. For this art piece I got my inspiration from different painting off of pinterest. First thing i did was sketch out my pineapple and flowers onto the canvas. Then I filled out the background with light purple afterwards went back with darker purple strokes to make contrast. After that I painted the stem of the pineapple with variations of light and dark greens. In addition, I filled in the background of the pineapple with light browns then went in and painted the actual pineapples different shades of yellow. Finally i filled in the flowers with pink then went back with a lighter shade of pink to make the flowers more 3D.
For this project i used watercolor pait and drew the guy a cartoon way. I drew a bunch of hands and arms to show how fast he sells the treats.
Our next project was a metaphor project we had to pick a metaphor and reflect on it. My metaphor was "... if people were rain, i was drizzle and she was a hurricane." this quote is from a book named Looking for Alaska by John Green. I picked this metaphor because during the time there was a hurricane coming our way, so i thought it was fitting. In my painting I drew an eye drop that represented the drizzle ,and the human eye represented the person speaking in the quote. Within the eye there is a hurricane with the clouds above it.
For this project we had to pick a picture or sculpture from the NC art museum and from your interoperation recreate it. So for mine I picked a sculpture of a pair of two hands touching their figure tips together which was called The Cathedral. My interpretation of this piece was that two people coming together and meeting half way with each other. Sorta of like in a relationship were you have to have come together in times to make the relationship work. Once i intrepid the piece i knew what i wanted to do. Which was to draw the hands a little differently then the sculpture had them. For my piece i made one hand (orange hand) come out more like its reaching out towards the other hand (purple hand). My piece always reprinted a relationship were sometimes you are so close to each other literally but could be further away from each other figuratively. The media i used for this painting was watercolor and i did a water down technique as well. Love between the lines For this art work I cut out paper hearts and glued them into a book. After I crossed out all the words but a few to create a black out poem. The black out poem represent how love doesn't appear to always be there but between the line (or words) love is present.
This artwork was already been drew before i found it. What i did was color in the picture sorta like a coloring book. So for the hair I used sharpie markers to form lines, and then dipped a q-tip in rubbing alcohol to rub in the lines of the sharpie. This created a watercolor effect while still seeing the sharpie lines. Now for the background I used really water down purple acrylic paint to give it soft purple. This allowed the color of the hair to stand out more. In addition for the girls skin a used darker color skin for her shoulder then her face to give her face more completion. Waves light |
